The Rivonia branch serves as the head office of Torque IT and is housed in over 3,500 square metres of custom designed building with more than 20 classrooms and a total seating capacity which can accommodate more than 500 people. We pride ourselves on offering some of the most technologically advanced training courses available in the world. Centrally located just off the N1 highway in Rivonia, we are easily accessible from all main centres and amenities.

Established in 1998, the branch is constantly renovated to ensure that the standards are maintained, and the classrooms boast PC’s with Intel 64-bit processors with 4Gig of RAM. All classrooms are networked on 1GB switched networks, with overhead projectors, electric screens and individual air-conditioning being standard features in every classroom.

Torque IT has a comprehensive public schedule offering and continuously run courses on all product sets. As the head office, Rivonia offers has the broadest range of technologies on offer, including Cisco Systems, Microsoft, Oracle Microsystems, Novell, SUSE Linux, CompTIA, VMware, Redhat and ITIL. To ensure that we are able to accommodate our clients we offer both full time and part time training.

Our training methodology includes classroom lectures, practical lab exercises, and group discussions. The practical implementation of the theory learned is an extremely important component of any professional training course and is a key differentiator that is missing from equivalent non-authorized grey training organisations. In order to provide this essential component to its clients, Torque IT continues to invest heavily in the necessary state of the art lab equipment which includes top of the line PC’s, LCD monitors, servers, SANs, Routers, Switches, Firewalls, Intrusion Protection Systems, WAN Accelerators, VPN Concentrators, Telephony systems, and Wireless equipment. All of this equipment is dedicated to training only and is kept separate from our internal network.

Our comprehensive networking labs, which are remotely accessible allowing Torque IT to offer high end training courses onsite at the customer premises anywhere in the world, are the result of a R15,000,000 capital outlay, and our dedicated VMware studios, in Johannesburg and Cape Town, are home to an impressive R2,000,000 worth of high-speed fiber channel connected servers and SANs.

When a client completes a training course with Torque IT employers know that their staff have not only learned about the relevant technology but that they have been directly exposed to it and have applied their newly gained knowledge in a practical lab environment.

The Rivonia branch is operates an official VUE and Prometric testing centre, which is open for exams from Monday to Friday, every week. The branch boasts the largest certification testing volume of any centre in EMEA, with 88 seats available each day of the year for exams.

Home to the directors and owners of the company, Rivonia has the largest staff compliment of the Torque IT branches, and is home to the company accounts, operations and technical teams, as well as the majority of trainers, sales executives and administration staff. All in all, more than 80 people work in the Rivonia branch, under the careful guidance and supervision of an experienced and highly competent executive management team.
